At this years annual Sports and Classics of Monterey sale on August 12th, RM Auctions, the world's largest collector car auction house will honor Ford Motor Company by devoting an entire evening of auctions to Ford vehicles. One of those vehicles will be the 2004 Ford Mustang GT-R concept vehicle that was introduced in April of 2004 at the New York International Auto Show. The Mustang GT-R was built as a tribute to 40 years of Mustang performance but more importantyly it was a glimpse into the future of the race-prepared Mustangs that were about to come down the line.
According to RM the car runs and drives but is not DOT or EPA certified and therefore cannot be registered for use on public roads. RM estimates the selling price will be somewhere in the $250K-$350K range.
